New edition of the My Electricity 6.0 program - important information
The Ministry of Climate and Environment announced that recruitment for the sixth edition of Mój Prąd 6.0 will begin on September 2, 2024. This popular program, aimed at supporting investments in photovoltaic micro-installations, will last until December 20, 2024, unless the funds are exhausted earlier.
Government Program My Electricity 6.0 - co-financing for photovoltaic micro-installations
Following the success of previous editions, the Mój Prąd 6.0 program reopens the possibility of submitting applications for funding. This time, the funding will cover:
- photovoltaic micro-installations with a capacity of up to 20 kW, with a maximum subsidy of up to PLN 7,000,
- electricity storage - subsidy of up to PLN 16,000.
The program is aimed at people who produce electricity for their own needs. It is worth noting that the subsidy will only cover investments that include an electricity storage facility. Thanks to this, program participants can not only produce their own energy, but also effectively manage its surpluses.
My Electricity 6.0 subsidy - when can applications be submitted?
The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) will launch the application process on September 2, 2024. The support will cover not only photovoltaic micro-installations, but also devices for storing electricity, storing heat, heating devices (e.g. heat pumps), energy management systems and solar collectors. The funds cannot be used to expand existing installations.
It is worth emphasizing that this program is an ideal solution for people who want to increase their energy independence and reduce the impact of rising energy costs on their home budget.
Who can benefit from the "My Electricity" program?
The Mój Prąd 6.0 program, like previous editions, is aimed at prosumers - users of photovoltaics. So far, the subsidy has been available to individuals who settle in the net-billing system and prosumers who have switched from the net-metering system to the net-billing system, which has been confirmed by the Distribution Network Operator. Most likely, this group will also be covered by the subsidy in this edition.
The program aims not only to provide financial support for new photovoltaic users, but also to promote modern energy storage technologies, which are key to the efficient use of renewable energy sources.
The process of submitting applications for My Electricity 6.0 subsidies
Applications will be accepted electronically from September 2, 2024 to December 20, 2024, unless funds are exhausted earlier. The program budget is PLN 400 million, which allows for co-financing of approximately 16 thousand applications. Therefore, it is important to submit an application as soon as possible after the recruitment is launched. We offer our clients full support in the application process, after providing us with a power of attorney.
How to prepare for submitting an application?
In order to successfully apply for funding/subsidies in the Mój Prąd 6.0 program, you must:
- prepare technical documentation for the planned photovoltaic installation and energy storage.
- obtain the necessary consents and certificates from the Distribution Network Operator;
- complete the application form available on the NFOŚiGW website;
- submit the application electronically, attaching all required documents.
My Electricity 6.0 Program - a chance for savings and ecological energy
In the face of the ending anti-crisis shields and the expected increase in electricity prices, photovoltaics is not only a way to protect the environment, but also to secure finances. The Mój Prąd 6.0 program is an excellent opportunity for all those who want to use green energy in their homes.
